I have been told that combi boilers are really effective. Is this true?
Over the years, combi boilers have become more effective and reliable. They are a great way of accessing both central heating and hot water whenever you want it and without limit.
Will there be much mess when having a boiler changed?
As with any job we complete for our many clients, there will always be a little mess, but you can be rest assured that we will lay down plenty of sheets and cover things up while we carry out any work and then we will always clean up after leaving you with no mess to worry about. Please do not let a bit of mess put you off by having an important job done.
I have very low water pressure. Why is this?
There could be many reasons why you are experiencing low water pressure. It could be that your pipes are old and maybe filled with sludge that has built up over the years. There could be a leak in your system, a shut off valve may not be working properly or you may just need to have your system flushed through. This itself, can make a big difference to the performance and efficiency of your system. Whatever the problem, give us a call and we will only be too happy to fix it for you.
Do you complete all the work yourselves?
Yes we do. We would never use another company or agency workers to finish a job that we have quoted for and started.
How often should I get my boiler serviced?
We would recommend that any boilers should be serviced once a year in order to maintain both safety and efficiency. Even if you have had a brand new boiler fitter, it’s recommended you have it serviced once a year on the anniversary of its installation.

How do I bleed my radiators?
Bleeding your radiators is a fairly simple, safe and quick procedure. It will help to release any trapped air inside your radiator. Firstly, turn off your central heating at the mains control. This will prevent more air from entering the system. Find the bleed valve. Place a bowl underneath it to catch any leaking water. A cloth can also help to shield your hand from any hot water that may escape. Insert your bleed key into the valve and carefully turn it anticlockwise. The air inside your radiator will start escaping. You will hear a hissing sound. When the water begins to dribble out, you will know that the air has been purged from the radiator and you can then tighten the valve back to its original position. Don’t forget to turn your central heating back on afterwards and check that your radiators are the same temperature all over.
